Sri Alakhpuriji's gufa, September 2024

The origins of the Yoga in Daily Life master lineage are at the source of the holy Alaknanda River near Badrinath in the Himalayas, where Sri Alakhpuriji's gufa (cave) is located. Vishwaguruji has organised four group pilgrimage journeys since 2016, when he first visited that holy place, and many bhaktas have had the blessing of going on that pilgrimage with him. This September, two long-time disciples from Europe, Dattatreya and Ramadevi, went on a pilgrimage in Vishwaguruji's name. Devotees maintain the sanctity of this place with their regular visits, and it will always welcome true spiritual seekers, with the blessings of the parampara.

In the Indian Himalayas, between Rishikesh and Badrinath, is Devprayag, where the rivers Bhagirathi and Alaknanda merge to become the Ganga. In this region, far up in the mountains, the caves of Sri Alakhpuriji and Sri Devpuriji are located, where they used to live and practise their spiritual tapasya (austerities).

Vasudhara Falls

Along the route are the Vasudhara Falls – the doorway to Sri Alakhpuriji's kingdom. It is said that every pilgrim who is blessed by drops of water from the waterfall, has special luck and blessings for their pilgrimage.

Sri Alakhpuriji's Gufa

Vishwaguru Sri Swami Maheshwaranandaji is the successor to one of the oldest spiritual lineages in India, Om Sri Alakhpuriji Siddha Peeth Parampara, with holy incarnations and God-realised masters – starting with Param Mahasiddha Avatar Sri Alakhpuriji, to Paramyogeshwar Svayambhu Sri Devpuriji, Bhagwan Sri Deep Narayan Mahaprabhuji and Hindu Dharmsamrat Paramhans Sri Swami Madhavanandaji. Near the source of the Alaknanda River, just after the confluence of the Nandadevi and Alakha rivers, surrounded by the mighty Himalayan peaks, is Sri Alakhpuriji's gufa, in a beautiful, lush green valley.
