5 September 2023 – Meeting of the mayor of Rijeka, Mr Marko Filipović, with His Holiness Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda, Vishwaguruji, at Yoga in Daily Life Rijeka.

During the international seminar of ‘Yoga in Daily Life’ and under the guidance of the author of the system His Holiness Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda – Vishwaguruji, the mayor of Rijeka, Mr Marko Filipović, visited the Yoga in Daily Life Center in Rijeka and met with this world-renowned yoga teacher.

During the meeting, the mayor was presented with Vishwaguruji's project OM Ashram, the largest building in the world in the shape of the ancient OM symbol, which is part of the "OM Vishwa Dip Gurukul" educational and research center in Jadan, Rajasthan, India.

At the same time, Vishwaguruji invited the mayor to the upcoming grand opening of the OM Ashram, which will surely be one of the biggest events in India.

In the conversation, the mayor referred to the successful long-term cooperation of the Yoga in Daily Life Association with the City of Rijeka. In Rijeka, yoga has been practised according to the 'Yoga in Daily Life' system for more than 30 years, and the Yoga in Daily Life Rijeka Association has been participating in the project 'Rijeka - healthy city'  for the tenth year in a row, with free exercises for people over 50 years old and students.

Vishwaguruji gave as a gift to the mayor, his book 'Yoga in Daily Life – the System' ,as well as the recently published monography 'Golden Jubilee', which vividly presents his tireless humanitarian work over the past 50 years all over the world, and Mayor Filipović gave to Vishwaguruji a monography of the city of Rijeka.
