Celebration of Gurupurnima in Střílky Ashram
Střílky, Czechia 4 - 5 July 2020
The 6-week long summer seminar has begun in Střílky, Czechia, with the holy festival of Gurupurnima. The unique event took place in the presence of His Holiness Vishwaguru Paramhans Sri Swami Maheshwaranandaji, having returned to Europe following several months in India.
“On the day of Gurupurnima, I offer you my all deeds, good and bad actions from last year. Please accept and bless me Gurudev,” His Holiness Vishwaguruji prayed.
This is the occasion when seekers all over the world visit their spiritual masters. Those who cannot physically be in their presence, meditate and mentally connect to their guide. Vishwaguruji also received many phone calls and messages from his international seekers across continental Europe, and in India, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA, UK, Mexico, Brazil, etc.
The Gurupurnima day is said to originate from that day when the first sunray touched this Earth – celebrating the living light which is present on the globe, and also takes the form of gurus, masters, teachers and saints, who serve humanity and guide spiritual seekers or bhaktas (devotees) to leading sacred and healthy lives.
Many bhaktas visited Střílky Ashram in Czechia, paying their respects to Vishwaguruji in preparation for taking further steps along their path of developing consciousness in the spiritual year ahead.
